Sales Team

John Farris, CIC, CLU, LUTC


John entered the insurance industry in 1977 and has worked in all phases of the industry including both personal and commercial property and casualty, life insurance, and health insurance. He holds his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), as well as the Life Underwriter Council Fellow (LUTCF) designations. In addition, he has studied and passed 5 exams leading to the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He hasparticipated in many insurance industry courses including teaching Life Insurance Underwriter courses for 11 years.

He attended The University of Houston and Texas A & M Commerce, has a Bachelors in Business and Economics and worked on his MBA. He is actively involved in his community, serving on the Fannin County Hospital board, past Chairman of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, and numerous other committees and fund raising drives. While serving as President of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, he established the B.E.S.T. – F.E.S.T. (BonhamEmpowerment Support Team – Fannin Empowerment Support Team) which has led to several sub-committees all with a focus on making Fannin County a great place tolive and visit. He has been a member of the Bonham Rotary Club since 1981 and served as their President.

Curtis Fendley, CIC


Curtis has a Bachelors and Masters in Accounting from Texas A&M. He is a Managing Partner and Agent with Pierson & Fendley.  He is a former IIAT Board Member and Service Committee Member and is a current Regional Vice President for IIAT.  Curtis is very involved in the community.  He is on the Board for Lamar National Bank, Member of Lamar County Human Resources, Member of Sulphur Regional Mobility Authority, Board member for Boys Club of Paris, Board member for NeTseO Trails Council of Boy Scouts of America, Member of Planning and Zoning Committee for City of Paris.  His past accomplishes: Past Chairman-Lamar County Republican Party, Past Chairman-Christus St. Joseph Hospital, Past Chairman-Paris Economic Development Corporation, Past Board Member for Ark-LA-Tex Council of Governments, Post Board Member-Salvation Army, Past Board Member-Sulpher River Basin Authority, Past President-United Way of Lamar County, Past President-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, Past President-Lamar County Independent Insurance Agents, Past Regent-Paris Junior College, Former Mayor and City Councilman for the City of Paris, and Award Recipient-Marvin Gibbs Economic Development.

Clifton Fendley, CIC


Clifton has a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M- Commerce.  He also holds a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Though he grew up around insurance, he formally joined Pierson & Fendley in 1999 and is licensed as both a property-casualty and life-health agent. He is active in the community and currently serves as the President of Paris Living, CDC and as a committee member for Independent Insurance Agents of Texas. He formerly served on the board of the Paris Main Street, Paris Independent Insurance Agents, Young Independent Insurance Agents of Texas  and Leadership Lamar County. He is active in the Rotary Club and First United Methodist Church.
